Project SummaryA Creative Partnerships Project with Paget Primary School
The whole of Paget Primary School including 300 pupils, staff and parents explored the redesign of an unused internal space during a special day on Weds 3rd May 2006.
The creative activities were led by makers, Junko Mori, David Gates and Teresa Collins who devised a series of sessions based on different aspects of the rooms redesign: furniture, metalwork and colour.
This activity was part of Changing Spaces, a 2-year project at the school to transform an unused internal space. As part of this process the whole school also ran an Architecture Day in 2005.
Changing Spaces was part of an on-going four year Creative Partnership programme between Craftspace and five schools in Birmingham with the aim of developing creativity in learning and taking part in cultural activities of the highest quality.
The project was funded by Creative Partnerships. www.creative-partnerships.com.
